Travel Journal Video 5

Travel Journal – Video 5

I was enroute to Kota Kinabalu from Kuala Lumpur and I had run out of pages in my journal. So, a trip to the local bookstore was in order. However, I didn’t like the paper weight in the sketchbooks they had until I found this sweet little notebook. It became my travel journal for the rest of my trip.

It’s teeny weeny and may be totally different from the usual half A4 I prefer but what fun I had drawing in it! It was also just the perfect size to hold in my left hand with my thumb opening the book flat without it being cumbersome at all. Perfect!

A sleeve created from a city map

The pages are off-white and about 65 to 70 gsm so it’s either a thin marker or the ballpoint pen for all the sketches that you see on the pages. Because it’s a glue binding, and a bit fragile, I created a pocket to keep it from falling apart, using a city map I found in a brochure.

Clarity through journalling

As always, I am a great advocate of using the journal as a tool to gain clarity into our lives especially when used with the 3Qs: What is the meaning of my life? Who am I? What do I want?
