Wholesome food anyone can cook

Adopting a plant-based diet is a lifestyle choice. It’s wise to switch only when your body, mind and soul says ‘we are ready’. Otherwise, it can easily turn into a guilt trip or a power struggle with your inner self. Equating vegetarian with being spiritual is just not it! Instead the ingredients of kindness, tolerance, forbearance, patience, and love, these make a spiritual being.

Whatever you eat or don’t eat, don’t beat yourself up over it. Don’t attach any qualifying factor over your diet. It’s bad enough that we are subjected to so much of conditioned worth since our birth that we don’t want to add to it.

Eating well, eating joyfully is more important.

Eating well and eating joyfully is what matters more. When you are happy, it’s more likely you will be a nicer and kinder person to be around. That’s being a spiritual being.

If you are a perpetual grouch or if you are imposing unreasonable rules about eating on yourself or others close to you, then you are a kill-joy. Who wants to be around a kill-joy? Maybe not even you. And if you are truly open, you’d find out soon enough if people’s experience of you sync with what you think of yourself.

As with all things in life, when in doubt choose the path with light, love and life. That’s the call sign for a life tinged with God’s presence.
